3. Customer Story of the Month

We’re always grateful when partners take the time to share their experience, and even more so when feedback reflects the values we aim to uphold. This month, we were especially proud to receive the following message from one of our partners in Ukraine, after launching localization support:

“I would like to sincerely thank you and the eID Easy team for the great service and smooth cooperation. We truly value our experience working with you and see strong potential for scaling our collaboration further. Thank you for adding Ukrainian localization so quickly. This is a very strong and meaningful gesture that clearly shows how much you value your customers. There are not many companies with this level of care and responsiveness, we truly appreciate it.”

4. Provider Story of the Month

itsme® goes EU-wide, and we’re ready for it

Last November, itsme®, the leading European digital identity platform, announced that its digital ID service is now available in all 27 EU member states, plus the UK, Norway, and Iceland. This marks a major step forward in building a trusted, cross-border identity network in Europe.

At eID Easy, we’ve supported itsme® for years, and now that it’s available to every EU citizen aged 18+, we’re excited to help partners unlock new use cases across borders, sectors, and workflows.

The app is certified at the eIDAS “High” level of assurance, making it both secure and wallet-ready for the next phase of Europe’s digital identity ecosystem.

“By unlocking secure digital identity for every EU citizen, we’re not only connecting countries, but also shaping a future where trust knows no borders.”
Tom Van Den Bosch, CEO, itsme®

itsme® truly stands out as a key player in Europe’s digital trust landscape, and we’re proud to make it easily accessible through the eID Easy platform.

5. Around the Company: Events, Updates & More

Here’s what the eID Easy team has been up to lately, and what’s coming next.

Thoughts from DLD Munich 2026

Calum Cameron, Strategic Partnerships Manager, attended DLD Munich last week. His key takeaway? Europe needs a stronger sense of confidence and vision:

“We’re too pessimistic about Europe. There’s a lot of talk about fragmentation, funding, and regulation, but not enough about how good things could be. That said, some get it: Benedikt Franke (CEO of the Munich Security Conference) called for a ‘no regrets’ innovation ecosystem. That’s the mindset we need. With that, Europe can be truly awesome. In the European sense of the word.”

See You at ICE Barcelona

Patrick Hosta, our Growth Lead, will be attending ICE Barcelona, taking place from January 19 to 21, 2026. If you're attending and want to chat about digital identity or partnership opportunities, feel free to reach out to him directly or ping us on LinkedIn.

6. Under the Hood: What’s Happening Internally

Our team doubled in size in 2025, and we’re excited to introduce some of the people helping shape what’s next at eID Easy.

Team Member Spotlight: John Jolliffe

Role: Provider Relationship Manager

John joined eID Easy a few months ago, and he’s bringing a unique combination of regulatory, technical, and commercial experience to the team. After starting his career in Regulatory Affairs in Brussels, including hands-on work with eIDAS, he transitioned into product, partnership, and business development roles.

He’s worked with trust service providers on both sides of the table, helping Adobe Sign build its QTSP and ID ecosystem and later leading SigningHub as Product Manager at Ascertia.

“Working on both the regulatory and product sides has given me a unique view of the trust services space, from compliance and strategy to partnerships and UX.”
So why eID Easy?
“Because we’re solving a real-world problem. The world of identity and trust services is so fragmented: it’s frustrating for businesses and confusing for users. eID Easy acts as a bridge. We help both providers and customers use validated identities to grow their business and keep people safer.”
Outside of work?
“I am a very average drummer, but I love feeling almost like I’m rewiring my brain in real time and learning new tricks; it’s very satisfying. I speak French, Spanish, and have some shaky Italian. But after more than 20 years in Belgium, I finally started to learn Dutch three years ago out of respect for my home nation. It’s going well.”
What does ‘making trust simple’ mean to you, personally?
“Making trust simple means helping businesses and users connect safely and easily, wherever they are. It’s a deceptively simple proposition, but the eID Easy marketplace does all the hard work in the background.”

We’re lucky to have John’s experience and energy on the team. If you’re a provider looking to integrate with eID Easy, there’s a good chance you’ll hear from him soon.
