LT ID is a modern electronic identity solution launched in Lithuania to provide secure, mobile-based authentication and digital signing capabilities for citizens and residents.
Designed to complement existing eID tools like the Lithuanian ID card and Mobile-ID, LT ID enables users to log in to e-services and sign documents electronically using a mobile device and a dedicated mobile application.
It is developed with a focus on simplicity, accessibility, and legal trust, providing a seamless way for users to perform high-assurance digital transactions without the need for smart cards or hardware tokens.
Compliance
LT ID is developed in alignment with the EU’s eIDAS Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 and supports the creation of Advanced Electronic Signatures (AdES) and, when issued by a Qualified Trust Service Provider, also Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES).
It meets national and EU-level requirements for strong authentication and secure digital signing. LT ID integrates with Lithuania’s national infrastructure and is part of the broader ecosystem of trusted digital identity solutions recognized across the European Union.
