It is primarily used to speed up onboarding, reduce fraud, and enhance trust in digital transactions across sectors such as finance, e-commerce, and public services. OneID offers a consent-driven and user-centric identity model, aligned with open banking principles.
Compliance
OneID is a certified Digital Identity Service Provider (IDSP) under the UK Digital Identity and Attributes Trust Framework (DIATF) and is aligned with UK GDPR and relevant ISO standards for information security and privacy.
While the UK is no longer under the EU eIDAS framework, OneID supports Advanced Electronic Signatures (AdES) and integrates with Qualified Trust Service Providers (QTSPs) for workflows requiring Qualified Electronic Signatures (QES).
It is also a member of the Open Identity Exchange (OIX) and works closely with regulatory bodies to support trusted digital identity adoption in the UK and beyond.
